Why talk pictures?
Thinking with young children is easiest when starting a conversation about concrete objects and people from the world around them.
That's why illustrations, or talk pictures, are used. The cards are 10 x 13 in size so they can also be easily viewed in a group of children.

Why philosophize with children?
By philosophizing, you learn a lot.
For example, vocabulary and oral language skills grow, children learn to articulate what they think,
express their own ideas, formulate their opinions, train their thinking muscles and it is good for their self-confidence because wrong answers do not exist.

For the parent or conversation leader, it also offers a great opportunity to get to know the child in a different way.
You don't so much learn what the child thinks but rather how they think, which can give a very different and refreshing image.
